Terms & Conditions

Ultimately your shipping will be governed by the terms and conditions of the bill of lading issued for your shipment. However, there are a few conditions we want to make sure you are aware of and in the event work is undertaken without a bill of lading.

ARRIVAL NOTICES: we will endeavor to alert you of your cargo arrival, however this is not obligatory and we will not be responsible for any charges or consequences of failure to advise.

CCA STORAGE: for Air and LCL, will be charged on consignment(s) five working days after received at our warehouse $5.00 per revenue tonne per DAY PLUS VAGST. We reserve the right to increase storage charges after 30 days if no effort is made to clear out cargo and communicate delays.

CLAIMS: all claims must be notified within 3 days of cargo delivery. to Lodge a claim you must provide a Value Claim Letter, Bill of Lading, Delivery Docket, Independent Survey and all supporting information to quantify value. In the unfortunate event of needed to claim we advise you alert your insurers,

CONTAINER CLEANLINESS: units are required to be returned in good and reasonably clean condition, additional costs will apply for removal and disposal of any any foreign materials, dunnage, strapping, oil stains, waste, dirt and rubbish.

CONTAINER DETENTION: will be charged on container(s) not returned to Transam’s care within 14 days after departure of the vessel. (You will need to provide return docket as proof of return), we reserve the right to increase detention rates after 30days if no effort has been made to advise delay and or return units.

Standard Detention Rates: 20ft DRY $14.00, 40ft DRY $28.00, 20ft RFR $42.00, 40ft RFR $84.00: per day plus VAGST.

A container Bond of $200.00 per container may be called upon prior to release and refunded after settling of any detention charges.

CONTAINER HIRE: units are hired out on 'as is' condition, by accepting and using the unit you accept the condition it was delivered. If you are unhappy with unit condition do not accept it and return it immediately.

SEIZURE: if your cargo is not customs cleared within 30 days it may be seized by Customs. Failure to uplift your cargo after 90 days of arrival will be warranted as abandonment and will be disposed if not seized.

of LCL or Airfreight will be available from our CARGO DEPOT, located at MALIFA on the cross island road.

of FCL+/ or Break bulk cargo will be available for delivery from Apia wharf, after paying our handling fee(s) to our office, Ground Floor, Lotemau Building, Apia, and presenting the following documents at our Wharf Office.

2. Quarantine

3. SPA Wharfage (Present to main port gate)

4. Transam Release Stamped BOL (ARA)
